Post Quantum Cybersecurity: Truths, Falsehoods and Unknowns

This talk is targeted at a technology-literate audience with a basic understanding of cybersecurity. It will start by introducing what a quantum computer is and why how it is different from the classical computing systems that we are using today. Next, we examine known quantum cybersecurity threats, clarify some myths and misconceptions about quantum computers, and include an open discussion on what we can expect. The goal is to increase awareness and reduce the mysticism behind quantum computers for computer scientists and information technology professionals.
